Help!?!

I find myself in the Land of Overwhelm--where laundry, dishes, dirty bathrooms and more are screaming for attention. I am enjoying my job. It's been a nice change of pace, although I do miss my boys (probably more than they miss me). The one thing I am not enjoying is figuring out how to take care of the house, laundry, meals, kids, etc., etc., without 1-being totally exhausted and 2-feeling like I have no free time to enjoy anything.

I know that many of you have been doing this juggling act for years now. I am a mere novice, so today I'm asking for help. If you are a working mom/dad/person, what's a tip or trick for getting life in order?

Please share...my kids and husband will thank you for it and I will be forever grateful.

I have no true advice. Just try to attack what you can as you see it happening. Anything, I mean anything done, put away, fixed or accomplished is SOMETHING. You are the queen of living in the moment with your kids. You already do that, the rest will make it. I try to attack laundry on two days a week, but sometimes it has to spill into others. I don't have set days for anything. I have tried that, but to no avail. This seems better to me that a load a night. When I do it all at once, I actually remember maybe to get it out and treat it like I want to. My life runs me, that is all I can say about that. Prayer helps for sure.

I've been holding out for the live-in nanny, but it hasn't happened... Some weeks I can keep up, other weeks, the house is a wreck and we eat cereal for supper and everyone lives through it. Cut yourself some slack, you'll get in a groove. :) Love You!

Thanks, Christy and Jen--
today is much better. I tackled all of the laundry yesterday and the bathrooms are now clean (at least 2 of the 3 are).

I'm still disappointed that the laundry fairy seems to be on vacation...but, life goes on.

Don't feel guilty
Don't fool yourself that everyone else is sorted, we all live in chaos,
Be kind to yourself! It is tough!
Celebrate your achievements! List jobs completed on a board, that way you can focus on what you have achieved rather than what needs doing!

sending you hugs
